“Tell me, What Do You Plan on Doing with Your One WIld and Precious Life?”

Mary Oliver the Pulitzer prize winning poet, became my muse the moment I read, A Summer’s Day. I experienced her beautiful and poignant poem as a sensuous Inquiry into the exquisite and immediate nature of life. Yet, it was her deeply penetrating questions posed in the last two lines that instantly entered my heart…“doesn’t everything die at last and too soon? Tell me what do you plan on doing with your one wild and precious life?”

Then just as quickly, the answer emerged from my heart…to celebrate it, to feel the preciousness of each breath and moment, to embrace it all, to dance, play, laugh, and share the sacred gift of life with others.

This was the call and inspiration to create the First Annual Women’s Summer Retreat at our beautiful natural sanctuary, Terra Casa.

What better place to Celebrate your One Wild and Precious Life? What better time than now, in the bliss of summer?

Imagine stepping out of the flurry of doing and into the feminine ground of your being; aware of the earth beneath your feet, and the vastness of the sky above…“to fall down into the grass… to be idle and blessed”

“To stroll through the fields”, on pathways to the shores of the Tomorrow river, to sit and reflect… to immerse into the Source of Life.

Terra Casa - Awakenings

Imagine gathering with women, your soul sisters, under the full moon, dancing in her silver flow of energy, realigning with the natural rhythms and cycles of your feminine nature, to sing, and howl your passion and truth.

Imagine feeling free and fully alive, remembering what is true and wild within you. “To kneel in the grass,” with joy and gratitude, for your one precious life.

Can you imagine giving yourself this gift of remembrance, and celebration? After all, “doesn’t everything die at last and too soon?”
